Do NOT do the Stingers without cats, sounds like ass (or rice)--I know from experience.

I have long tubes, off road x, and stingers, and haven't had one person (or myself) say it sounded like rice

...or are you referring to a mod motor? I'm assuming you are since the O.P. has a modular.

I had Bassani O/R X-pipe and a Stinger CB on my '01 Cobra.
I stick by my statement, all bad noise and stupid dB levels and drone except WOT where it sounded great.
Definitely not for a daily driver. It might not have bothered me as much on a weekend cruiser but I hated them for daily use---and the ricer comment came from my brother and the guys on my hockey team who could hear me a mile away when I was just driving regularly.
Replaced the Stingers with Borla Pro XSs and it was great and still great at WOT.
Big variance on opinions on mufflers.

I have Dynomax with an h-pipe and no cats and my car is loud as h#ll between 2,500 and 3,500 rpm's...Relatively quite at highway speeds though.

I know that built and blown new edge that Timmy had at his shop was running a set of dumped 3.5" bullets and it was ungodly loud lol

I absolutely loved the sound of the MAC Pro-Chamber and 2-chambered Flows on my Mach 1, and so did everyone else.
It was very loud when I went to long-tubes. I'd actually go with 3-chambers if I had to do again... and someday I hope to.
