    Lugnut Help

A friend of mine just bought a DSM (poor soul ) and he is having trouble with finding the piece he needs to take the lugnuts off... he sent me a drawing of what they look like (just a quick sketch) and i thought maybe someone here would know where he could get what he needs to take them off

    Thanks guys

Does the tool go into the nuts? If so, I have one here.

yes, from what i gather from him, the that is what the lugnut looks like looking at it straight on... So, i'm guessing it woudl need something like the lugnut key that is on both of my T/A's... Difference being, they're evenly spaced half-circles cut out of the lugnut... so yea, it would go over top of it i'm guessing.

I had lockin nuts on a jeep I had and didn't have the key, so we welded a reg lugnut to it and go it off.

Either that or heat up a socket that is close to the same size except a little smaller, hammer it over the lug nut then let it cool. I lost the key for the ones on my f-250 and went down to the local tire shop and they had a reverse thread socket thing that screwed it self onto the lug nut when you hit it in reverse on the impact gun. Once it got tight on the lug nut it took it right off.

well, from what i gather, which would make that idea a problem, is that each lugnut is like that.... so i guess you could weld a nut to each lugnut and take them off, and buy new lugnuts, but i'm not sure what he's gonna wanna do.
