It's a '08 Outlaw 525. It runs pretty good. I am still getting used to it, only rode it 3 times so far.

Does the Outlaw have the IRS? (edit: duh, looked at the pic again --- apparently, it does) Seems like there are crazy good deals on these. How does it handle? Can you still slide the rear around when you want or does it dig in? Just curious???

Yep it runs really good. My old buggy was a '06 Wolverine 450 4x4 that was slow as hell. This one really rips. The KTM engine is mega power compared to what I was used to and since I can't keep anything stock, I already did the air cleaner, FMF muffler, and JD jetting kit too. hehe

Yep IRS. Ride is smooth as hell. Lots of ground clearance. Handling is good still and not tippy at all and I came from a straight axle quad previously. I put the RAZR tires on it for flat resistance and sliding ability. I got a flat 2nd time out with the stock tires. She slides just like a straight axle now.

Super smokin deals were to be had 2 months ago or so. I paid $4750 OTD from Honda/Polaris East Toledo. Joe on here(9002stang) saw the deal I got and went out and got one there immediately thereafter. Now we make mods weekly it seems and compare machine results and notes. It's pretty cool.

mine is a straight axle, it slides alot... it's cool most of the time but i have had my share of butthole puckering..lol

i like the ride of mine even with solid axle. i got mine way under priced from a guy i work with, he needed the cash and gave me a smoking deal on it. sometimes i do wish i had either reverse or a 4wd,but it's way to much fun.

No doubt straight axle is way fun also. I was drawn to the IRS after riding on a friend's Sportsman. Different kind of quad I know, but the ride was amazingly better over my old Yamaha that it got me looking. I found the deal on the Outlaw and the rest is history.

I started riding 2 years ago or so. I was on a z400, solid axle of course. The proIRS on these outlaws is simply awesome for trail riding. It feels about 85% like a solid axle out back, but witha much smoother ride, and more traction in rough terrain. If you are a hardcore duner or mxer, the irs isnt really the best choice. The KTM motor in these is a perfect fit, and pulls hard in every gear. Here are some pics of mine, and Mark's. Mine has the HMF pipe.......and its the faster one of the two!

    Very nice bikes!!!

If anyone is thinking about getting one, I highly recommend something with reverse...even on a sport quad.

And yes Mark, that is a wear mark on the shifter....not to worry though....it got replaced with a one piece polished alum shifter. :)

I'm getting all pumped for my Hatfield trip this April!!

I was going to, but had to go back to my parent's place, so figured I'd just go while i was out there.... Just wasn't any fun with all that slush... the mud looks awesome though!

Bish unless you are some sort of sadist the mud was not all that fun. The parking area was so muddy that you almost needed 4wd just to get out when we left. lol

Eh, I'm perfectly fine with mud.... never had any issues with it -

Actually, in the last two years, i can't remember a time I've gotten to ride that its been relatively dry.... I usually end up finding something else to do on those days (car, sportbike, golf, etc) I look forward to some non-mud riding this year
