I gotta say, the snow in the east is a lot different than it is in the west... and our black diamonds are blues or greens out there hahaha oh man.

Had a lot of fun ripping up the north face, if anybody saw a guy wearing all black carving the hell outta the north face it was me!

Also, Wendy's has a 99 cent deal with seven springs for wednesdays - first lift ticket is full price, second is 99 cents. If you're not going skiing with anybody, I'm sure you can find someone that is buying a ticket & split the price with them

    Thats an awesome deal!

How was the snow? When I was up there Saturday it wasn't great and really icy or bare in some areas. North face was a mess which was a shame because I love north face.

well, the runs off to the sides of the high speed lift on the north face were crap. Pretty much just loose granular over ice. The north face slope itself was great though. The rest of the mountain wasn't bad snow for being mostly man made. The one thing that was pretty clear was that if you weren't skiing on it, it didn't have snow. I can't see them being open that much longer after this weekend's heat spell :(

I love when the snow is a hard pack type condition, not icey just hard cause it gives a lot of edge grip so you can really lay out some hard turns. Fortunately, that's just how the north face slope seemed to be, everything else had a little bit more of an icy feel to it (more sun exposure and frozen back up over night I'm guessing?)

Yea, thats how most of the mountain was when I was up there: loose granular over ice and ice is most other places. The front face was the only decent area.

I hope they get some kind of heavy snow once more so I can go up one more time but who knows.
