Usually a 5.0 needs to be upgraded to do anything noteworthy. The 4.6 is a way better motor - at least out of the box.

i had both cars stock, when i got my mustang i couldnt believe how much better it ran. im in a losing battle you can't fight every dick on a forum that owns that car.

the 5.0 also has 300 ftlb of tq the V6 doesn't that I know of but I could be wrong.

i dont know where they even got this idea. the kid that said he raced a 5.0, did the guy in the mustang even know he was attempting to race him??

i mean hell i had both cars!! i even have an AOD to compare it to, the AOD would eat it!!

no torque numbers mentioned here? what about weight of the car? apparently that has no bearing on its performance either.
dont compare my 5.0 to a bone stock 3.8!!!!

I didn't know that a "new edge" Cougar was enough of a performance car to be given a tag such as "lightly modded".

How many different levels can you achieve with one of those? Maybe we've all missed the boat with these stupid V8, RWD vehicles?
