Also going with moser 33 spline axles, spool, 3:55 gears and also going to brace the rear so it should be able to handle the new power. I'm hoping when the car is done to have a high 9 second street car. Suspension will be the biggest issue as the car will have plenty of power to be in the 9's. Can't wait to see what it does at the track and what it will do on a roll when I get a fast car to pull up next to me, should be fun when the turbos spool up
I'm thinking that the 3:55's will be too much gear.

I'm running a 28" tire so the 3:55's will be a starting point. If it's to much then 3:27's will go in.

I'm running a 28" tire as well. I went with a set of 3:31 gears out of a 05+ Mustang. You can pick them up very reasonable cause they are the stock gear and there is only a difference of about 1-1/2 mph on the top end of 4th gear (150mph vs 151.5) as compared to a 3:27 gear.

Good info Ed. I didn't know that there was a 3.31 gear. I too planned on running a 3.27, but I'll definitely keep the 3.31 in mind when I get around to putting the turbo on. The little added gear definitely wouldn't be a bad thing in my heavy car.

Just another update: we decided to go with 60mm turbos because with 57's I'd be limited to 1000 fwhp, any more than that the turbos will be out of the efficiency range. With the 60's I'll be able to make 1000 rwhp and stay within the turbos efficiency range and will be able to upgrade to make more hp. I should hopefully have the car up and running by the end of april or early part of may. So look out all you hot rodders in the area for the yellow jet plane that will be running around the area .

Yikes! 1000 HP!! Man, I cannot wait to see this beast when you are done with it!

Off topic: do you still have that GT fuel pump? If you do, maybe we can hook up one day next week for a beer and I can get that off of you. Let me know.

Just another update as we decided to go back to the original plan and use twin 61mm turbos. This will be capable of 1200+HP with no problem. The turbos will be in soon and will post up some pics real soon also
