A dragstrip in salem ohio
For those that do not know what Quaker City Raceway is, its a 1/4 mile drag strip. It's a much nicer track than PRP and the staff there actually know how to run an effecient program.
There's no gravel, no super high refreshment prices, and it's just a much nicer place to race and spend the day.
^^^Yeah Quaker is a great place and the people are great. I don't know if i'll be there opening day or not but i do plan on going a couple of times this year. Its only a 45 min. drive from my house.

I'm glad QCR is hanging in there too. Once tracks close, they're usually done for. I've had some fun times out there, good memories.
In my experience, I'm about a tenth, a little over, slower there compared to PRP.
I am planning to run both of the UMTR races at Quaker City this year. The first is mid May, so that's likely the first chance I will have to get over there.
Would also like to go and check it out this year, pretty close to me.

Might of been there once when I was real, real almost un-rememberablely young. Heard about it alot, n alwayz wanted to head out. I think it is a pretty good drive thou for me. Even PRP is a little drive, I'll venture out n about here and there, but I'm mostly down for keepin our Great city of Pittsburgh's one open!

From Natrona Heights, QCR is roughly about an hour and 15 minutes, maybe a tick more. Turnpike west to Ohio, second exit in Ohio, south on Route 7, right on Route 164, go about a half mile or so, right on 165, stay on 165 for 10 minutes or so, and the track will be on the left.
I am going to be there weather permitting. I will be in a black 86 gt convertible with a cowl hood. Its my home track and i have been either racing or working there for about 10 years now. Have never taken this car out yet. Let me know if anyone wants to meet up to go out.
I have done so much, with so little, for so long, that now i can do anything with almost nothing at all.
kev if theres some of you heading out let me know
