    5.0 engine

I wanted to share some pics of my 1991 Florida Highway Patrol notchback i have been working on for the past few months.

removed the cobra motor that was in it, and put in a stock low mile 5.0,new clutch, stock exhaust and detailed/powedrcoated everything.

Unfortunately, i will not be finishing the car, as someone wanted it a lot worse than me and made me an offer i couldn't refuse.

It still needs the exterior finished and is going to be fully restored to an inservice FHP car. I had all the equipment and that was included.
    Its getting shipped to CT

finding all the correct equipment is the hard and fun part, and its out there if you know the places to look.
took me over a year to locate all the correct stuff.

Its more of something you drive to shows and thats about it.
I drive mine with the decals and lightbar covered to cruises and shows thats about it. nothing i drive on a regular basis.

they had beefed up cooling system, electrical system, upper control arms, tranny coolers, braced floors, calibrated speedos, reinforced seat backs, etc

Looks like you were doing a great job with it. Hopefully the new owner keeps up the great work.

What all did you end up doing to it? It's obvious you put a lot of elbow grease into it. It really looks good.
