Wheeling Island

anyone been there? is it pretty fun?

i will be at Cabela's all week for a certification class and will have some time in the evenings. thought about heading up to the slots.

there is one or two from wheeling here right.

I never been to wheeling island, but heard its suppose to be pretty nice, there is also mountaineer down the river, i been there a few times and liked it, but its the only casino i ever been to so i don't know too much about them

Don't have to be from there to go! Been there a few times, never stayed the night, but well worth it if you're that close. I've never been to a Vegas or A.C. casino before, but Wheeling Island is exactly as I had seen casinos on TV or imagined. Couple good places in the casino to eat, full table games and a crapload of coin machines. They even have penny machines for you WV folks.;)

wheeling island isnt bad, neither is the mountaineer...

your only 10 mins from wheeling island at cabelas so why not?

I'm from Wheeling, I've only been to Wheeling Island to go to the buffet there, which is F'ING awesome by the way. I don't gamble at all, so I can't speak for the casino itself, but definitely try out the buffet

I gamble enough getting up in the morning, but wifey like to go and play the slots. I wander around while she plays a few hours, then we usually get a bite, and go bet on the dogs.

Work takes me to both the Reno and Vegas areas for weeks at a time, and I bet I spend less than $50.00 in all of the casinos when around there. Both of those are amazing compared to Wheeling (sites)
