    Help!!

I purchaced a MSD dist. for my 5.0, and I fired it up when I did the install last week and it ran, but it was rough, and I just figured it was cold and the timming needed set, so I shut it off. Today I was going to set the timming and I tried to start it and it made this banging sound that scared the hell outa me I pulled the dist. and it all looked normal as I can tell. I put it all back together, and it cranks with the coil unplugged, but when I connect the coil and try to start it, it makes crazy noises that I know are not normal, so I didnt try to run it I just turned the key off. I am totally lost on this one, If anyone is bored that knows how to check firing order and set timming, my garage is heated and the beer is in the fridge! Thanks

probably 180° off. start at square one - no1 cylinder at tdc and try again ;) make sure you're using the HO (351) firing order and not the std 302

add: tdc of the compression stroke. put your thumb on the sparkplag hole and wait for it to pop
