drag strip saved

not sure if this has already been posted or if anyone even cares...but 75-80 drag strip near frederick maryland is reopening this spring. it hasn't been opened for a few years and was thought to be closed for good and a housing development would take over. luckily another racing venue has been saved.

I've been there...it needed some updates about 5 yrs ago...so hopefully they get them done soon. Glad to hear it's sticking around.

yes thats great, they used to film a tv car show there.and they used to have an all ford event that was years ago though

Hey thats great news i have been to that track a ton of times i have some great videos from there ford fall shootout.

I raced there when I lived in Baltimore. It's just east of Frederick, MD. The PBS car show Motorweek still does acceleration, braking & lane-change testing there. The track isn't much. You turn onto the track & then back into the burn-out box. It's good not to drive thru the water but, a little different. The shut-down area is uphill. I'm glad to see it revived. They always had one or two Ford events each year.
