Savani does good work, a lot of racers go to him.

I'm not sure where you're at, so I'll list the ones I've dealth with and have good things to say about. If I don't list them, either I haven't dealt with them, or don't have anything good to say.

GMS/Gregg's Machine Service, Uniontown (tell him Chuck with the Olds sent you)

JET/Jennerstown Engine Technology, Jennerstown. Jimmy is real good people, nice little shop

DLK, Russellton (over near Pittsburgh Mills)

I haven't used them, but have heard good things about A1 in Greensburg, and Tom Hemphill in Clarksburg.

kmp performance is one of the only guys south of pittsburgh i would trust, and if you can find him Evanuicks in or around pittsburgh is a ford guru but i cant remember how to get ahold of him...

I'm planning on building a 408 stroker for my 94 GT. I have a 351 but it will need bored .030 over and decked and surfaced so I know that everything is good.

A guy I work with also said to call Jake Savani. He is good friends with him and I thought thats why he recomended Savani.

I live in Saltsburg. About 5 minutes away from Pittsburgh Raceway Park.

My friend's used to use Evanuick to do our race engines, he did excellent work, but was very costly. Sponsorship money started drying up so we had to find an alternative.

My shop uses brougher's for machine work right now and can't complain one bit.

I just got back from talking to Tom Hemphill from Clarksburg beings he's a few miles away. He gave me a price of $550 plus cam bearings and freezeplugs. This was to hot tank ,bore cylinders, line hone the crank, and torque plate hone the cylinders. Does this sound like an average price for it? I've never had any machining done so I don't know.

He builds most of the real big dog engines in and out of the area (door jamz cars, etc). I've never worked with him directly, but think having someone of that caliber local that you can see, talk too, and walk in to the shop as needed is a huge plus. I would only be worried where you fall in his priorities.

I use them a lot for real basic stuff and they always do well by me. I'm not sure I would take a performance block to them, but respect their work

I use ICS in the North Hills. I have not heard great things about B&R although I have never personally used them.
