    cobra owners

I am looking to get a terminator in about 3 months and was wondering if I should say away from ones with higher miles and what problems do they have that I should look for? I heard of the 03 to have a head problem but anything else. I am looking to spend 20grand and would like it to be local so keep your eyes out for me. Thanks

That is a very good website for general information on the cars. Just remember that these cars may not have lived the most pampered lives, and that finding a 'no stories' car is going to be pretty rare.

"the tick" will be readily apparent as soon as you start the car. You can't miss it unless you're literally deaf.

If you are looking on forums, search the users previous posts for things like "broke" "problem" "help" etc to try to find anything that they may not be upfront about.

If they like to do high speed runs, I'd shop for a different car - 03/04 cobras have poor piston to wall clearance and cooling, and that's enough to give you a pretty hefty motor rebuild bill.

while generally true of all cars, it's on of the 03/04 cobra's weak points. Look it up.

I keep looking on svtperformance.com and high end auto has a few nice ones. Is high end auto good to deal with? Will they negotiate the price a little? I don't mind the drive.

Rob was a good guy to deal with. He let me take another car out so I could listen for noises and also feel the differance between a modded and a bone stock car. (Night and day!)
He also took my 05 STI in on trade and gave me exactly what I wanted for it. My car was being stored at his home so I didnt get to he his shop.

He also sent me about 60 pics of the car when we were dealing on it and tosted in all the stock parts he had for it.

Ditto! he sent me alot of pix of my car before I bought it. He can also help with financing.

I almost bought Ryans car if it hadn't been for my wife not liking blue cars I would have.
