Hey guys and ladies, For those of you who like car shows and cruises. My family put's this show on for our local fire dept. It really is a nice show, we try to offer something for everyone. We average 100-150 cars, we keep trying for 200 but it hasn't happened yet. We have both paved and field parking, we usually fill the paved lots first, so it's first come first served. The Masontown VFD will hold there 9th annual Car and Truck Show on Sunday May 3, 2009. Reg will begin at 9am and run through 1pm.
Reg.$10.00 per Vehicle Judge.
Reg.$8.00 per Vehicle Participant Judged (New this year)
Reg.$8.00 per vehicle Not Judged.
Dash Plaques $ Goodie Bags 1st 150 Vehicles

Those vehicles being Judged will be judged based on Cleanliness, Quality, and Workmanship. All hoods, trunk lids, hatches, rumble seats and tailgates are to be opened.

Gas Pump style trophies designed by Final Score Trophies will be given out at or before 5pm

Top 15 Late Model Classic 1980-1995
Top 15 Late Model 1996-2009
Awards also for : Fire Dept.Choice

Largest Chinese Auction in the Area (Over 100 items last year.) Food, 50/50, and Door Prizes.

Goodie Bags for the 1st 35 kids and door prizes. Model Car Contest, Coloring Contest, and Temporary Tattooing for kids.

I haven't made it down to this show yet only due to scheduling conflicts on my end for the last few years. I hope to at least come down this year and check it out.

Nick, Tery and Jay are all really great people. I am sure with them in charge of this show its a top notch day and well worth the drive for those of you who are a decent drive from Masontown.

Plus for those who store their cars all winter, its a nice long drive to get the car out and just drive!

Masontown is 12 miles south of Uniontown, just off rt.21.

I'll defenately keep reminding all of you, it'd be nice to get a group of you together. Just think, the more of you that come the better chance you have at winning the largest club award. Then you'll have to decide who get's to keep it. :) I just hope the weather cooperates. I'm planning on putting my Fusion in it, non-judged of course, I just want to show off the new ride.

Thanks for suporting us the last two years, hope you're planning on comming again?! Which car is your's? I'm really hoping for a great turn out, we usually get around 100-150 cars, my Mom keeps shooting for 200 but we haven't been able to reach it yet, and this is our ninth year putting it on for the fire dept. They get 100% of the proceeds so the more people/cars we get, the more money we can raise them, and with the economy the way it is, they can use all the help they can get.

That's the best way to do it, that way you can enjoy the day and not get mad if you don't win. The only time I get upset with not winning is when I know for a fact things weren't done right. And we try to be as fair as possible. When I judge I look at the car for what it is, be it a friend's or a complete stranger's, it doesn't matter, I've actually had friends get a little upset with me because they didn't win. Of course at our show we have different people judging different parts of the car, that way we try to stop anyone from being biased. Like on the flyer, there are 3 judged classes, a non-judged class (which would be like a cruise), and top 10 drivers choice class. We keep trying to make everyone happy, but even with all that, there still has to be someone who can't be pleased. At least we try.
