Ran into this on another forum

This was my Capri at Steel Valley. You can see how much crown was in that place based on the camera angle. It looks like it was taken from a hole :D I think the picture exagerates it a bit, but the starting line does roll backwards like it looks ;)

lol, I think you needed to be there that day to even begin to understand. 1st pass of the day I spun ohhhhh.... just about to the finish line ;) Traction was hit or miss all day.

Cool pic. For the most part is that track decently prepped?? Was thinking about trying it out this year since it's pretty close to me.

I cant really say for sure. We stopped out to watch during their Friday Test and tune. They had the track prepped pretty well, guys said they where running their best ever that night. It wasnt supposed to rain at all, and ended up raining all night and well into the morning. We were at Sheetz in the morning (in the rain) thinking about a run to Quaker city for the afternoon. Basically the track was trying to put together a good surface for us, and the weather caused them issues. I would love to have a place like that close for TnT. Their Friday deal is cheap, and it looked like you could hotlap and get 40 passes, or actually test and tune and still get 8-10 passes in. The track and facilty kind of stinks. Track has a big crown, is all up hill, no lights, no air, no water, porta potties, etc. It's just old school racing (porta-tree for the tree).

Thanks for the info. Does sound old school but that might actually be kinda cool for a change.

I was scanning through the UMTR forums and there it was. Yeah, I like finding pics like that out of the blue. Makes you feel good that someone took the time to take the pic, host it, then post it somewhere.

I was there with Bob that weekend & all in all, while not what most of us are used to by any mean's, could have been alot worse (any of you guy's old enough to remember youngstown drag city?) if I was closer & could deal with the 1/8mi B/S, I'd take advanage of the fri. nights for shure.

That's pretty neat hittin up other forums and catchin pics of your ride. What kinda times u runnin? I think I seen u runnin up at PRP before. U run there?
