    Update

Got my alignment today. It was out a little, not too bad.

    Everything else went well too.

EXCEPT the stripes! The body shop guy came in and told me that the previous shop that painted my front end from the bumper and hood painted clearcoat over the stripes on that part of the fenders. I dont know why they'd do that, but they did... supposedly!

So the body shop guy said they can sand them down, get the clearcoat off, then finish taking off the rest of the stripes, repaint and reclear for $415.

So I have that decision to make now. At the moment, I dont have the money, but if/when my daughter's braces are covered, I will. Just have to wait another 4 weeks to know.

I'll keep you all posted. Thanks for always listening and offering opinions

I already said, I would keep the stripes ;) Even without the clear issue, too mant times I've seen where the glue pentrates the paing enough that you can always see that the stripes where there.

For less than what they want to remove the stripes, you could have lowering springs ;)

Tammy....just keep the stripes for now. You can spend the $415 on a new paint job later when you need it.

On the side of her car. She talked about them on her new rims thread that she posted.

I think the look of the car would be changed more by being lowered than removing the stripe. Just something to think about.

Tammy mine has the same stripes you have and i agree with bob...leave em...sets it off just a lil bit. Take the money...tint the windows (5% on the back and 15% on the sides) and get sum lowering springs!! with the steeda ones tho you'll need caster camber plates because they will wear the inside of your front tires pretty quick if you do not get them. the stock plates dont have enough adjustment.

That's one of the first signs thou I look for to indicate a V6! I'd really want to take'em off too. Its alot of loot, thats tuff. It would probably look good if you were to carefully take them off, might look like some ghost strips!
