    Steering Shaft Rubbing LT Header

I've done a little research on this and see it is relatively common. Looks like the fixes are aftermarket steering shaft and/or different motor mounts. Basically i've had the issue for a couple years since i had the lt's installed. when i turn right i can feel a slight vibration which is the steering shaft rubbing against the d.s header. I am looking to see what my options are as far as different brands that are available and what other people are using. From what i have read it seems that Ididit and Flaming River make a replacement shaft for the 99-04 cars but i don't see anything specific listed on their websites. Give me some input on what things you guys have done and give me a few different options to think about.

    Thanks
    Kerry

That thought has crossed my mind, but not really the route i want to go. I know i have read several places about the rag joint on the stock shaft going bad from heat from exhaust with headers and causing the rub. I did find a couple listing on aftermarket shafts from steeda and MM. Also probably going to change mounts too, just not sure what to go with as far as brand and style(poly, solid, etc.)

I've shifted the engine in one of my cars, just loosened the main engine bolts, moved the engine with a jack. Sounds like its not hitting by much, could work.

Went with energy suspension poly motor mounts and a unisteer steering shaft. Have plenty of clearance now and no more rubbing issues.
