SN95 - Speedo works, odometer stuck?

I was using the trip odometer to measure how many miles I had on this rebuilt motor. Things were going well. I had the dash out to fix the headlight switch and I had it out again to replace the dash light bulbs.

Somewhere during this last week the odometer and trip odometer have stop working. I have had 60 miles on this motor for the past 120 miles. The Odometer was rolling over from 120099 to 120100 when it seems to have gotten stuck. The speedometer is still working. Since this is a 95 Mustang, I believe this is all electronic.

So how did I break it? More importantly, how do I fix it?

i was also going to suggest that you check to mke sure that the odometer is still plugged in on the back of the cluster. On the 94-95's if the odometer becomes unplugged for some reason everything except the odometer will function. :)

I only remember two ribbon cables. Maybe I should go looking for that speedo cable.
    Thanks.

Got it. You meant the small cable and connector that powers the odometer drive motor. The motor is plugged in. But I am missing teeth from the driven gear. I am guessing that the gear was able to hold up to rolling two digits, but when it came time to roll three digits at a time, a few of the gear teeth broke off.
