I believe most, if not all, widebands are going to be universal...

I think if you search around, you will see that Innovative LM1 and LC1 are the most widely used... its a great wideband, but being one of the best means the cost is up there... I also think the AEM is a widely used one.

I had the PLX wideband in mine... it was a great price and worked flawlessly for me!

"Universal" is pretty broad. A lot of the kits out there use the same sensor, but there are a multitude of wideband sensors, and each needs the correct electronics to decode them.

I have a AEM in mine, and have been very happy with it. The AEM is a little slower to respond than some other units, that can be both good and bad. If you want a gauge readout, you will be hard pressed to find a better package than the AEM (~$230.00 on eBay for complete unit (sensor, harness, and gauge).

You also need to decide how you are going to log or use the sensor when making a decission. The AEM for example has the gauge (duh) but also a serial output, and a 0-5V. I take the 0-5 into my data logging. The innovate stuff is nice as well, but adds up if you want gauge display, etc, but interfaces nice with logging equipment.

I have heard a lot of good things about the lc-1. Not too bad prices either.
