    Need to borrow Power Programmer

I need to borrow somebody's power programmer so I can fix the speedo in my car. I put 3:73's in my Stang(01 GT) and my speedo is off a few m.p.h. I don't want to spend the $300.00 bucks to buy a programmer because I'm buying a terminator in the spring and would have to buy a different programmer when I buy the terminator. I am willing to drive to someone's house and fix it there so they don't have to send it. Thanks

It won't work. Once a Programmer is VIN locked to a vehicle, it can only be used to read trouble codes on other cars.

i think the gear to fix it on the speedo cable is like$8 and takes all of 10 min to install. unless that dont work on the newer ones

They have electronic speedo's. There's no gear to change.

I don't know that they have the means to change it. I would assume that all of their flashing capabilities would do with the stock equipment, but I could be wrong. If you're getting rid of the car, I'd just get used to judging your speed by rpm.

I am not 100% sure, but I do not think a dealer can calibrate a speedo that much. I know they can with minor tire size changes but not a huge adjustment like a gear change.
