Decided to fab up my own deep sump fuel tank and had an idea for hiding the battery so I fabbed up the battery box also...

We knew the passengerside quarter was bad so out in Joliet at the NMRA/NMCA event we found this awesome mustang junkyard called Encore MPW (unbelievable), he had a beautiful back half of a coupe so at 11:00 pm Sat. night we cut out a quarter, went the next day loaded it in the back of the L. I was pretty nervous about doing this, since i never did one before, but i think it turned out o.k.

Since it was an 84 we were stuck with a 7.5 rear, but was able to find one on the corral nearby and pretty cheap. So it got reconditioned, had some 3.27 gears out of a Bullit I had worked on for some one, so we threw those in...

Painted the underneath parts with this new Rustoleom hammered paint. I have sparayed it and brushed it and it is great stuff, plan on doing the whole underside with it.

Hope we aren't boring anyone here, but we're trying to get ya caught up to the present. Next came yanking out, looked like a bad tooth..

What a mess, this is gonna be a miracle...

Thought it was pretty weird how foureyes have the parking lights in the bumper support

The battery sat here for 15 years..

Radiator support was so far gone that we decided to go like this...

We were driving this thing around ya know, lucky the k-member didn't fall out and get runned over...
This was completely gone, shot, toast..

Here's what happens when your buddy brings you a rocker from a Dodge Dokota, and you steel a peice from the quarter of a foureye and the quarter from an aeronose, five pieces fabbed into one, wala...

On to filling holes and grinding, gonna smooth the engine bay finally...

How in the world did that thing have 5/09 stickers on it?! haha.

I wish I had a fraction of that talent. The paint on the underside of the rear end looks great. Keep up the awesome work!
