Well we're back at it, Julie wants the car done for this spring.

Coated the interior with Hushmat, seems like pretty good stuff

Got the start to my twin turbo setup, scarey isn't it

Picked this tubular GT40 intake up on the Corral, always thought these where cool.

We're gonna go with these VDO gauges, since we really wanted to keep the retro feel of the 84 dash, they are about the only ones the right size.

Kudos on such a rare coupe. Super Nice Build. Wish I had the skill to tackle such a build. Keep us updated.

Thanks, all. Well it is day 5 of wiring, going from CFI to EFI, it looks worse than it is, I think.

My motto is- when in doubt cut it out.

This arrived today for encouragement, they are 57's.

Another T-top car is always welcome; expecially a rare coupe. Very nice build. A neighbor of mine converted a 84 hatch to EFI and kept the factory dash and gauge cluster. Very tricky wiring but he managed to get everythign working as if it was factory. Good Luck. Hope to see you in Wexford Church Cruise this summer.

Thanks. Yes that is the goal.
Was having a real problem with the amount of money they want for a new headliner backer board, especially since 75% of it gets cut out cause the t-tops. Went to the local vinyl sign shop and they had this stuff that is super compressed foam. It looks and feels like plastic. It is water resistant, and is able to be scored and can be heated with a heat gun to make it conform. So I used the old board for a pattern, cut it out with a hand jigsaw, scored the points that I needed it to bend, stuck it in the car and used a heat gun on it to conform it, and bingo new headliner board. This stuff comes in a 4X8 foot sheet, and I bought half a sheet or 20 bucks. Gonna use it for the trunk and the door panels as well.

Recieved the new engine wire harness from RJM, it's real nice.

Fabbed up a panel for the trunk to hold the MSD box, fuses,a breaker box, the selenoid and the modual for the fuel shut off. This is going to give me better access than the way I did it on the 93 , in the fender.

I got the battery cables and wires run through the car to the front and was able to fish em through the in floor subframe, worked out pretty slick.

That's where she is right now, everyday a little closer to the finish.

Looking good. I know how the little things getting done feel. Its a relief. HAHA How are you routing the harness through the inside of the car for the engine?

Thanks, yea every step is one closer. Gonna run it through the tranny tunnel. Hope the wires are long enough.

When I just did mine, I lengthened about 50 wires up front and ran them through the cowl to the left inner and the FI harness, I came out right on the firewall down where the curve is to go to the tunnel. I used a nice 2" rubber grommet I swipped from a T-bird. Poked a 1/2 hole in the center and pulled the ten pins and distributer connectors through. With the engine in place now, you cant see anything. Hardest part was getting the nerve to drill the hole.

Yea drilling anything after you did all that smoothing is scarey. Looked at your build, very nice. Didn't realize yours is wild strawberry too.
