    upr vs mm

I was looking at a few different sets of rear lower control arms on svtp.com I'm between maximum motorsports extreme duty rear lowers, or a set of UPR chromoly lowers.

the mm have spherical bushings on both ends, the upr has the standard rubber or poly bushings, not sure which.

the upr's are prob about 100 bucks cheaper

No option for none of the above ;)

I'm not a fan of most UPR suspension stuff, nothing specific I geuss. You can not go wrong with MM, but sphericals on both ends is going to be harsh for a street car. have you looked at the CHE stuff? I love mine, and like their bushing design as a good compromise for a street car that gets raced.

i have a feeling which way this votes gonna go

mm- high quality products. i have the shpericals on mine with stiffer bushings in the uppers and its not that bad on the street. its noticable, but not that bad of a ride

I have the MM extreme duty's (they recommended these for a pounded on road course type car) and I love them. A friend of mine managed to destroy the poly bushed ones on a 300 rwhp car, so I recommend the sphericals for any hard driving. Not too bad on the street, but this was admittedly mostly a hillclimb car driven on the street every once in a while.

I'd never put my trust in a UPR suspension product. I know of a guy on here that split a weld due to lack of penetration on his UPR LCA's and as if you need any additional information on why I wouldn't trust them read this:

    http://forums.corral.net/forums/show....php?t=1101501

I personally run Global West LCA's and although I can't complain about them, I'd opt for the MM setup now that I'm learning more about the mustang suspension. The GW are good if you only want to do lowers and nothing else.

the CHE's bob mentioned may be an option, I think the extreme duty maybe a lil overkill, n since no one has anything good to say about upr, the che's are priced pretty decent as well

If you are going to beat on the car don't put poly anywhere in the lowers. Unless you want to buy new arms twice. There was a company making pretty much identical arms to the MM's for a lot less coin. I'll try to find out. I think the company was called J+M?
