I had time to put the oil pump on this evening and throw the pan on with two bolts holding it on. Dumped 4 quarts in, Canton pans take a lot of oil, and primed everything. Rotated the engine over while priming to assure everything got oil. So far so good. Probably put the front together tomorrow and get the pan on for good.

What size pushrods did you end up needing?

6.700. I feel the bolts will be OK. How is yours coming along?

I got my Link bar lifter assembled and installed today along with the heads torqued down and with my checker springs i'm now measuring for pushrod length. Intake i'm around 7.500" and my exhaust is going to be over 7.800", i'm just waiting on a longer pushrod checker as mine only went to 7.800"
I'm guessing its going to be in the 8.00" range.

Little more progress. No pics now but will have some later. yeahlo50 and purestock stopped by for a few and gave me a hend lowering the assembely between the shock towers. As always, the longtubes caused a pain in the ass. Should get some fire going through it some time today. Thankfully Troy was quick on his feet of I would have been taking a trip to the paint shop too. Thanks man!!!!! HAHAH Thanks to both of you for giving the helping hands. silvernotch called me a ding dong again for not having him here!! HAHAH

Ignore the red wire on the drivers side of the engine bay. That is to pull my temp gauge probe through when it gets here this week. I had to send it back to autometer. Broke the probe from the capulary tubing. Brand new gauge and it got lodged in the adaptor fitting that I fashoned up last year. Oh well.

Yeah Troy. Hope to today. Probably go down in a bit and start hooking stuff up. After you guys left yesterday, I grabbed a shower and that was it. Played with lil' man for most of the evening. Erika came over for a bit but I still got nothing done.
