I also wish it was more available as I would likely move to it as well. There are also some issues with it from the pump.
Huge injectors. I can deal with them, but it's a big jump at my power level (likely need 95's). my fuel system would be fine, but not enough injector for sure.
The bigger issue seems to be the consistancy out of the pump. The factory cars designed for it use a sesor in line to adjust the fueling based on mixture, no big deal. When we tune for it, we are assuming 85/15. Unfortunately, they add more gas in the cooler weather to over come hard starts. Even last summer guys running it where reporting issues because it was higher is gas content. They don't charge more becasue it's subsidized, but are blending more gas when they don't have enough ethanol.
That means you are likely buying it by the can, and then it's as much hassel as anything else.
LOL yes we discussed this in the past. I was just yanking some chains and joking around about my xylene comment.
as for devil's own, they've been around a while and quite a few skittle drivers liked their kits. It let a lot of people use the high octane map without having to put high octane fuel in.
I'm just afraid if your tune is aggressive enough to need it to be safe that if it malfunctioned it would pre detonate bad enough to break something. Plus I have heard of them staying on sometimes?

Agreed about using it to run high octane mode using water injection and pump gas.
As for high octane mode staying on, if it did then its a bug in the knock sensor algo. I've always been kicked out of high octane mode if there was too much knock. There have been a few times where I didn't empty the tank out enough before putting some 100 octane in and it was a really hot day and kept getting kicked out under high load.
Then again, the last I bothered with forums related to the SRT was early 2007, so maybe there have been cases since then. Something tells me that someone did something stupid to their car and blamed it on "being stuck in HOM" more than anything, IMO.
I'm seriously considering going this route if I ever do anything else to my car. If you're upgrading the fuel system anyways, then the additional cost of upgrading it enough to handle E85 wouldn't be that much more. The thing that worries me now is that gas prices have gone down so much that E85 might be even more scarce that it already is.
If I do go the E85 route I'll still have a 93 tune ready to go if I want to go on a road trip or something, but for the most part I just plan to have a few 55 gallon drums of it in my garage and just fill those up every summer when the blends are supposed to be good. I hope someone else around here does it first though so I don't have to be the guinnea pig :(
