i like it, it's gonna be fast. so what if its 4k pounds, as long as it's something you like/want then go for it man.
look at all the older camaro's (67-69 z28's) they were heavy but they run like raped apes. my buddy had one yellow with black stripes and we cruized the old center in uniontown every weekend. got alot of attention.

Back to the topic, the Camaro is what it is ... it's no Mustang but it has its own appeal. Like others have said GM's power plants are awesome and if I was in the market for a V6 car I would probably buy a Camaro. But this would be short lived as Ford is planning to come out with it's Eco-Boost V6 soon!
I think the new Camaro is ugly. The motor and ability to improve the motor means little to me if I cant stand to look at the car.
The Challenger to me looks like it was done right, I can't say I feel the same way about the Camaro at all.
Ugly...and you will have a mullet before you know it! j/k...ok no not really...
seriously? you brought that argument?
If you want the most over-rated car ever made - get a GT500
If you want a NEW car with a good motor - get a Camaro or Challenger
If you want a really fast car, while spending the least amount of money, its an obvious choice - no matter how you look at it, its a lot cheaper to mod what you already own than to buy another vehicle and then mod it
Either way, as someone said above, YOU have to be happy with your choice... you came to a mustang forum and asked what guys think of the new camaro... do you really think you're going to get a good response?? if YOU are happy with the new camaro, then its the car you want... if you're doing it just so you're the first person on the block with one and you'll probably be sick of it within a year or so, you're wasting a hell of a lot of money...
good luck

Your post is so wrong is so many ways?
... why is the GT500 over rated? It's is only about 3k more than your beloved "FAT SLOW PIG" Challenger ..... and the GT500 doesn't have a "GOOD MOTOR"? COME ON .... have you been sleeping under a rock? .... Stock motor (no internal mods) can take over 1000rwhp .... try that with your beat ride TA! O-yeah you don't have it any more?
I'm sick of hearing all the "Haters" bash the GT500! And why do they do it? ... because THEY CAN'T AFFORD ONE!
uh oh... someone's all butt-hurt because he knows he could have gotten more for his money
my beloved challenger?? are you dyslexic? I never said i liked it, just mentioend it because someone else suggested it above....
And you seriously want to go after my car? first off, the engine could hold WAY more than 1000rwph - and before you start whining, no it wasn't stock, so that's outta the way - please spare us the drama .... oh btw, as it stood the day I sold it, it would have made your car look silly... so keep talking shit - you're the type of d-bag that people take so much enjoyment in beating, since you think you're the top shit with you're GT500
edit: truthfully, i really don't have a problem with the GT500.. its the only new mustang that i can even slightly stand the looks of... i just think it was way overhyped for all the more it ended up being... but wihtout all the hype, its a great car - I don't know this mr4teeth cat, so i won't judge him, but i've seen alot of other GT500 owners on the net, and some of the owners sure do leave a bad taste in my mouth... the same way that some vette owners do ... the "THEY CAN'T AFFORD ONE" comment is one of those "i'm looking down my nose at you" comments

Why is it that you didn't answer my questions ..... because you know I'm right.
and in response to your indictments:
1) I got exactly what I wanted something unique and different that will hold it's value ....
2) Silly? ... I don't know for sure (still haven't ran with the TVS) but your car still would have been a mullet head beat ride old ass TA
3) D-bag and talking shit .... I don't think so I'm just stating facts because I'm sick of all the haters talking smack on the GT500.
Yea, i guess I didn't... i was too distracted by the other bullshit you were spewing out of your ass....
Why is it overrated? This has been gone over time and time again, so there's really no point in going over it again... Despite what they may be selling for now, they were outrageously overpriced when they originally came out - and for what? mid-12's? ha...
1.) i don't pay attention, but going off what everyone says on this site, the car has come way down in price... so is it really holding is value? i seriously don't know
2.) what exactly makes my car beat? you can be upset all you want, my "beat" car will still smoke your ride...
3.) you've talked shit twice now, including # 2.) above... it really does always baffle me when people talk shit on a car that would smoke theirs... i mean, maybe i'll start talking shit on all the "beat" mustangs on this site, saying that my Harley F-150 and its mid 80-second 1/4 mile will put a hurtin' on 'em ... yea
its the internet dude - don't take it personal - get over it... there's someone out there that is going to talk smack on everything... getting your panties in a bunch over it is only a waste of time and frustration - everyone on here knows if i say something about thier car, i'm just giving them a hard time out of good fun - being one of the few GM guys, that's my job lol

14 second? .... you are retarded aren't you? are you from Altoona, PA?
I chose not to make much of an arguemnt - i said its been gone over a million times as to why the car was a dissapointment, even to mustang fans, and i didnt want to go in depth about it - is that dyslexia hurting you again? i said one thing - the one undenyable fact
and there's one thing we can agree on and end with - i don't have a car :)

Wow indeed lol...
No you're a typical internet punk that does nothing but talk shit until someone calls you out! Don't mistake it, you went over the line with that retarded comment and I'm now call you out!
I'm on this site to have intelligent discussion about cars not keyboard joust with a punk. I respect others views and try not to be argumentative or take personal attacks on people when their views are different than mine. Maybe you should try doing the same?
internet punk? lol ... no, don't get me wrong... calling you retarded wasn't what i was joking about... I wasn't judging before, but I really do now think you're a fu*kin' idiot.... so how again are you calling me out? with the classy comment? yea, cuz i worry about what someone like you thinks... there are plenty of people on this board that can vouch for me
the joke was about the Altoona, PA question....
And if you paid any attention to my posts over the few months that you've been here, you'd see just how objective of a person I am... i'm a (previous) GM owner on a mustang site jackass... who's been here a hell of a lot longer than you... do you really think i'd be here if i didn't like mustangs? holy shit -
