    Replacing broken exhaust manifold bolts.

91' stang gt with headers and broken bolts on both sides and blown out exhaust gaskets. Any tricks to this. All back bolts broken and brake booster and supercharger and really in the way. Almost looks like pulling the engine will be the only way to get to them? And that starts a whole new ball rolling if the tired motor is out.

you can get the headers off without pulling the motor, just take off the charger and piping to get to the pass side header. the header comes out with the booster there.

    long tubes or shorties?

Shortys. I think the bolts broke off flush with head, so not sure about getting a drill and easy out in that space.

ah ok... still pulling da heads is better then yankin the whole motor. what about an angle drill? 90 degree with a short bit may get it out. then maybe a set of easy outs?

just a few options to try

Wont say I didn't try to take even some of the non broken ones out. Probably need to heat them up. Really should just yank the motor, but don't have one built to replace the tired one yet. Too many projects and not enough jobs. Thanks for the ideas, I need to fix it better than last years inspections fix of of gobbing that exhaust leak puddy around the headers.
