I drove mine for a few winters off and on. ONLY cause when my uncle purchased it, he had it undercoated right off the show room floor.
As of right now, I won't be doin it EVER again. X2 on the beater suggestion!
Half inch to an inch of snow on a pretty cold day with my tracion control on, was one seat of the pants driven experience I'll never forget!!

Drove a '94 hardtop and a '95 vert for a few winters. I thought they went ok, only time I missed work was when the rest of the town was snowed in as well. Just have to know how to drive in snow. My '95 had 4.10 gears, supercharged (then turbocharged) with heads intake, etc.
Yep I drive it year round. I recommend having an extra set of wheels(unless you like have snow tires remounted) and getting something like a set of Bridgestone Blizzaks on all 4 wheels. Toss maybe 2-3 bags of tube sand(60lbs each) in trunk. It will go anywhere you want. Worse case just use 2nd gear to start out on really bad roads.

I drove my '94 Trans Am for 4 winters - and its the same type of driving issues in the snow as a mustang.... and honestly, i didnt' have any problems.... I've driven nothing but 2WD, RWD vehicles in the winter... I drive the Harley truck right now and really don't have any problems, and i think its worse than my T/A was... you just have to be very responsible and careful...
Not just when you're out, but in making decisions about going out... if 6" of snow fell while you were sleeping, then don't risk going out to meet ur buds at the bar... if you have to be out though, its not as bad as some people make it out to be! :)

Drove my old 01 gt for 3 winters with 4.10's and snow tires without an issue so its doable. I would def try and get another beater though.
