I would like to take the high road and keep things professional though. If anyone emails him, I would ask that they simply state theat they will not be buying from buyfordracing. Be prepared for a childish email in return. If you choose to respond to him, I'm sure you will see how much self control it takes to remain the mature one in the situation.

As far as a refund, the parts are not the issue here, in the end, $18 for some banjo bolts is a drop in the bucket to me when it comes to what I have spent on this car over the years. The issue was what I got in response to an email of nothing more than constructive criticism of a parts description on his website. If he had responded to me in a civil manner, it would have never been an issue.

In one of my other threads about this, someone posted: "1st. rule of business- if you treat some body good they tell 10 people, if you treat somebody bad they tell 100. and if you insult them they tell 1000."

i read of either the same story or another situation involving the same matter and the person got the same response with some very ignorant replys and emails back to him. really unprofessional to say the least

Thats no way to treat a customer that could potentially bring you more buisness especially in this economy. In the link Lou put up a couple of the reponses sounded like BFR employees attacking the person. I cant believe he told you he appreciates any advertising you do for them, what an ass. I will not buy from them and will warn any of my buddies not to buy from them either. Word of mouth is still a powerful weapon. Another place to stay away from is RPM outlet they have the same style customer service and have a lot of similar customer posts on the net. Other than How Much? I havent really met anyone on here face to face or get a lot of time to really talk to any of you while online. He's a good guy to deal with as Im sure the rest of you are. I hate to see this happen to anyone and thank you for letting the rest of us know what type of buisnees they run. I also look forward to meeting some you soon. Well if my wife lets me come out to play.

So, he actually wrote, "If you were on HALF the forums you claim to be on, you would have never bought from us to begin with."

    ???

WOW. So he obviously knows they're D-bags and they're going to continue to be D-bags and nobody cares?

    I'm dumbfounded.

Somebody was looking for some 42lb injectors on here the other day. I was going to send them a link from their site because they were cheap, but I just got lazy??? Glad I didn't.

Myself, I would print copies of the e-mails, and send them to the Pres./CEO of the company. Just e-mailing that fart-blossom isn't going to do anyone any good.

Here's my suggestion on the situation:

Simply saying "I will never buy anything from you again!" Is seen by these DB's as rhetoric and empty promises because they think people will always be back due to their low pricing. What you need to do is hang on to your future receipts and send them a fax a month or so down the line saying "This is the money you lost out on because of your customer service". On top of this, have everyone who sees your plight and agrees that what they did was wrong send them an email saying "I saw how you treated Mr. Soandso and because of that this is what you lost in business" with faxed copies of receipts.

I did this when I had an issue with a stealership's service department. When they saw how much business they lost as more people faxed they sent me an apology. Too little too late but the fact that their attitude changed enough to send an apology meant they realized the money they were losing over one incident.

It's true you have to vote with your dollars, but sometimes companies don't realize just how many votes they are losing with a customer service snafu and it takes a reality check to put them back in line.

And I agree with Paul, you need to send it to this DB's superiors, preferably the President or CEO.

X2 I was going to point the same thing out, he is stating that his buisness is terrible???

The email would have been more useful to justify himself and his company instead of responding to insult a customer

No, he's stating that if you want good customer service, go somewhere else. If you want the lowest price, buy here. Some people think that if they have the lowest price they don't have to treat you like a human being.

To say that if you were on HALF of the forums you claim to be on, you wouldn't have bought from us to begin with....is crazy!

I assume he has had this problem numerous times then? You would think he wouldve learned to treat his customers better. If I was the boss and received a copy of these emails I would be furious at this man!

GOOD LUCK DAN! Hope the new banjo bolts work for you

Ok just wow! Why would one need to file a Police report for a box that may or may not have been shipped or lost in shipping? It's gonna be 99.9% of the time the shipper or shipping company if there is a problem. If I had a customer call and ask where his stuff is and I knew I shipped it. I would look up the shipping info and go from there and if found that it was delivered simple tell customer it was delivered and fax/email a copy of signature. If delivered then customer would be SOL if lost/stolen. If lost in shipping and it was expensive then it should have been insured and if not then I'm SOL.

If that was how I was treated I could care less if something I wanted was being sold for $1 I would buy else where. I don't always buy at the lowest price. More like how well I've been treated and then my business has has been earned as repeat business.
