So my girlfriend things I have an addiction!

My girlfriend and i have been together for about 2 years now. She feels that i have a serious stang addiction.... with in one year ive bought 2 stangs, have sunk some money into both, joined forum pages and now... the worst she says is ... cruisen! Cars are like anything else... fishing... hunting and building bird houses lol but this is a hobby for me now.. im happy except for when im out, i get miserable , bc i know shes pissed!

What am i supposed to do? Hell i even went out and got an automatic lx so she could drive it to shows when i take the cobra... has anyone else been in these situations before with there loved one? haha man do i feel like i need to buy a camaro to get rid of these problems. if your a woman and read this please let me know where you ladys stand on this. Thanks guys and gals.

they'll get over it or she isn't the one for you... my girl and i have been together for over 4 years and i let her know what my interests were right from the beginning. cars/bike are a major part of my life and if she doesn't want me to enjoy my hobby then "we" won't work. don't take this the wrong way, but i'm assuming you are probably younger (early 20's)??? hope everything works out for ya...

i am dealing with this for years. Some girls I have dated don't care how much time I spend with my cars, and what I do. Others want every little bit of attention and when they see the cars getting it, they get pissed. The cars keep winning the battle in my life.

Hell, I'm single now, and I really don't have a problem with it..Got a nice little piece on the side, no drama or bullshit; its amazing!

Lol no but seriously..Buy her a nice stang, maybe she'll get into it too..You said you have the LX? Ask her if she has any ideas for it, and maybe she'll get into building it/working on them too, hell who knows?..jus an idea..

how would getting a camaro solve the problem? you'd be into that car too if you bought one.

IMO its kinda dumb if she gets mad when you go out on a cruise with some friends. does she get mad when you do anything without her? or just if its about cars? if she gets mad about you doing anything without her then you need to get rid of her! hahah... and if she just gets mad when you do stuff with cars just be like "wtf? i can go other places with my friends and you dont care but when i go out with my car you get mad? wtf? wtf? wtf?"

wow..i wish i had some awesome advice to help ya out. but honestly ya gotta lay it on the line. i lost 2 girls over cars... but theone i got now loves my cars/bikes/truck...shes had issues over guns before.. but they get over it......pretty much they'll either get over it or leave .lol

My girlfriend I'm with now of 1 year this month gets on me all the time!! It's really hard dealin with it too. Two things in my life I luv that are my hobbies is my bands/music and my Stang/cars, plus bein a gear head/guitarist since day one of birth. Those are my outlets and thats what I tell her, get over it. Women love attention and if its given elsewhere its a big arguement, alwayz! Findin that exact match of a mate is almost non existant anymore, its tuff.

Bullshit....a diamond just empties your wallet. once you marry her she gets half when she leaves. If she cant deal with doing things that you like. Cut her lose. she's not the one. it will hurt now for a bit but as one door closes a few others will open up. b honest with her and tell her what you want n like to do. if she cant n wont do it.....well then bub bye! So far me and Kate have been together for 5 years. She very understanding with the stang thing Lol she likes to cruise somtimes. And she loves pictures! For xmas and anniversarys birthdays she always gets me somthing for my car. I know a lot of guys who gf don't like the car scene and they didn't last long. Idk about your situation but it took me and Kate a little to compromise on things. Ill let her do her stuff and I can do mine. We have broke up before over stupid things like this.

You should be flattered. She wants to spend more time with you than you're friends get to spend with you. Natural reaction, especially if your relationship is in its early stages. It's hard for some women to understand our love of cars and all that goes with them. They see it as competition for your time, so when the car wins, she gets pissed.

Over the years my wife and I know each other well enough to know when to let the other do their own thing. She knows I love cars. She has no interest in them at all. To her they're just an appliance, like a refrigerator. She lets me do my thing because she knows it makes me happy, and to her, if I'm happy, she's happy.
