    1 5/8 or 1 3/4 LT size

well, im gathering the rest of the pieces for my new engine/ kenne bell combo and have asked a bunch of different people about what size header to get. im plannin on runnin a K.B. 2.6 with 20 some odd lbs of boost. im shootin for the 700 h.p. range. ive been told that the 1 3/4 will make more power (which makes obvious sense at that hp level) BUT, that the small gain between the 1 5/8 and 1 3/4 wouldnt be worth dealing with the issues of clearance when installing them. im most likely going to get the BBK's, and will have stage 3 ported heads. just wondering if the 1 3/4 would be worth the trouble vs the 1 5/8.

I'd go 1 3/4" if you can fit it but my brother runs 10.40s with 1 5/8" so it won't hurt you too much.

yea thats what i was thinking, there isnt too much difference between the two. and if it would make my life that much easier giving me the extra room for fitment id go with them. but if anyone else has any opinion on this i welcome it. i really wouldnt worry about the few rwhp between the two, but if it wouldnt be too much of a hassle id like to make as much power as possible.

    Aftermarket K-member?
I have no idea on 2V header clearance but I know the 4V is a b@tch.
    Good luck.

Comparative dyno testing will be one of the few ways to truly know if it was worth it or not.
