I had similar issues with my Alpine. I never did figure it out, even after trying 3 different harnesses from crutchfield, I still had only had sound on the left channel. After 2 years of driving it that way, I bit the bullet and I'm in the middle of completely removing the mach 460 and replacing it with new components and a couple subs. Should sound much better. I hate the mach system, and actually wish the original owner had ordered my car without it.

The problem lies in the harness patch cable that comes with the Crutchfield plug one side is rear and the other is the door speakers. I went and bought two patch cable y adapters this splits each side of the crutchfield harness. Part number Arista 18-003 y adapter $2.99 at radio shack. My alpine has 3 sets of rca outputs so i bought 2 y adapters.

I'm getting ready to put factory nav/dvd kenwood unit in the 03 cobra. Let me know does anyone make a good set of plugs so you don't have to cut the factory wiring?

The factory amps are below the rear deck in the trunk.

Is the new radio your using have only a signal coming out and not an amplified signal? I bought a dash from an sn95 and it had an amp under the stock radio.
