i got side skirts off a 88 gt for my 85. when i lined them up on my car there was a 2" gap between the back of the door and the skirt. i thought they were universal. am i missing something here?

thats what i thought. from the wheelwell to the door jamb, but mine seemed to stop short of the jamb.maybe i lined it up wrong. someone said when they went to the pony wheels they opened up the wheel well more so theres less space between the well and door jamb.dont sound right but i could be wrong.

i thought the quarter panels were the same, i might be wrong, when my car was a factory GT that panel was maybe a 1/4 inch from the door jamb
