Anyone ever own a 94 Ford Lightning??

Its a Black 94 Ford lightning with 165,465 miles on it. NO rust but its got scratches on it but most are swirl marks. not really worried bout that. Its a bank repo and i was going to put a bid on it but i was wondering what to look for on that year and what everyone thinks bout the mileage? i know the gas mileage will suck but im not worried bout it...it would just b a weekend cruiser and sumday mayb a strip truck but we'll c. The interior looks clean no rips or tears in the seats but a crack in the dash. it was bought from a very reputable dealer around here THomas dealerships bout 3yrs ago. Kelly blue book has it listed around 2900 for a fair condition truck. Appears to be all stock. no aftermarket hood or intakes other than a k&n filter. If your going to be doing mods to the truck then the miles will probably have a factor but if not and your just going to cruise it and its in good shape then i say go for it if your getting it cheap.. But check the bed sides and wheel wells. Also check bottom of the tailgate and doors. Thats where they like to rust

The only mods id be doing would be exhaust and cold air intake nothing major. no blower or cam...its just a truck to cruise around in and light the tires up on occassionally and maybe some day take to the track to learn how to drag race. the lil sixer would kinda get sum laughs if i took it. its a bank repo but i went and started it up today and its got a mis but it clears up after 2200 rpms. so maybe plugs in wires. the inside is pretty clean for the year...could use a good shampoo'n but the power windows and door locks all work and the radio and cassette player work. it needs a good waxin and buff but that year truck didnt come with clearcoat. only rust was on the optional tubular bumper but from what ive read they are known for that. no rust anywhere else on the truck. the fog lights even work.

My brother had a '94---sweet truck, they handle better than you think and pulled my '01 Cobra like nothing.
Great trucks and probably will hold value well.

As Scott said. Those years were known for rust in those areas. Also be aware that if it was a repo and the prevoius owner knew it was getting repoed he probably beat the snot out of it. Be aware.:(

Ive looked the truck over n over n over on different days...sunny days...and what not...trying to find more n more each time...its black....n for it being 15yrs old..(now i dont know if its original paint) but if it is...its not faded and almost had to be garage kept MINUS the scratches to still look like it does....im going tuesday to bid on it....what does everyone think would be a legit bid to get this?.....i dont have a lot to spend but for what it is...im hopin to snipe it out from sumone else....theres only one other lightning in the area and its a newer one(00,02) not totally sure but on the window sticker it only says 94 F-150, however, ive checked the vin out for the "R" code and popped the hood to check under there. Im hoping new one else around knows its a TRUE lightning and it slides thru for cheap. its got the original lightning tweed seats with no tears like i said....still has original radio/tape deck in it...hasnt been cut up and only has a drop in k&n air filter and MAYBE a flowmaster muffler, didnt crawl the whole way under it yet.

UPDATE: took it for a ride today...and its a dog....no power and wont even break traction...sumone drove this hard and when u first start to pull out it shutters like there's a problem in the tranny....so definitely not going to bid on that truck....glad i was able to test drive it b4 i placed a bid.
