    My new ride...

Well, after a lot of looking and contemplating what vehicle would make a good replacement for our ford edge, my wife and I made a purchase yesterday. I haven't been this excited or satisfied with a car in a long time. Its a '07 Infinity G35X. This car is THE family car for me. Its fast (306hp/268tq), nimble, roomy, classy, its AWD, and I got almost 26mpg in it today on a trip from Altoona to New Alexandria and back over the mountains and through the construction on rt22! I love this thing. I looked into all of the offerings out there and this came out on top in every aspect that was important to me. I wanted to stay with a domestic vehicle but quite frankly they have nothing comparable to offer. Here's a few pics I took of it tonight on my way home to Altoona.

That is nice Paul, but why did you replace the Edge so soon? It was only about 2 years old right? Just curious.

Thanks everyone! As I said I'm very pleased with this car. I know what the term luxury sports sedan means now and I'll be hard pressed to ever own anything else. I know its early for me to say this, but I never knew such a driving experience could exist, at least not one that I could afford.

Sean- I only did a 2 yr lease on the Edge as the residual dropped like a rock after that and the payment went way up. I have a few months left on it, but I didn't want to wait until it was up before I started to look for a replacement and "had" to buy something.

Bo- LOL! I don't like side profile shots of cars as they look too two dimensional. A car is a multi-dimensional object and as such I like to shoot them that way. Having said that, I did get a side shot, I just don't like it as much. The rear shots I took didn't turn out well.

Looks nice Paul...I wish you could've stayed in an american ride.

Did you test drive a new MKZ? If so, what didn't you like about it?

(That's about the only american car I can think of that's similar caliber with optional AWD)

It was a good choice to get the newer body style...even if it cost you an extra couple bucks.

Very nice car... thats exactly what my boss had before he traded it in on a Mercedes... He loved the car, but his lease ran up and Infinity wasn't willing to give him the deal that MB did...

    Enjoy!

I hope you like keeping up with the black, I gave up on my wife's Maxima.
