i go the driver route and you are in correct its better to pick up a nice 3-5K car vs a 1500 one that is beat to death or just in all around terrible shape.
the 3-5K cars usually hold thier value also for the most part too.

my just get a DD jeep (second one) and toy it until spring.
I used to be a cheap bastard too. Now I am tired of wrenching on stuff and would rather spend the money now and enjoy something otherthan fix up a POS.
The jeep sounds like a plan too. That is the only car that I regret selling (1980 CJ7) I have been entertaining the thought of buying a jeep and making it into a nice trail rider, verse building a NMRA real street car.
I don't know..........But knowing me I would have just as much money in either one so the choice is hard.

well as much as you would like this to be true, it's not...Car is prob. worth 1500 - 1800 being mass air and black int. But is is a GT so that depreciates it a couple hundred

i looked up a few others comparing gt's to notch and in ever case the notch was lower in private party value.. (even though the notch is has a greater demand, i am just looking at price wise on your opinion on a gt lower value)
