    radio problems

I was wondering if someone could help me with this. I have two foxbodies an 88 and 89 GT both with aftermarket CD players and neither one can pick up a radio station without a ton of static. Is this common for these cars and does anyone know what to do to fix it.

    Thanks

make sure the radio is wired up right and make sure the antenna has a good connection

it did have a shorty but now they both have the factory ones and still terrible reception. Is there somewhere I can take that could figure it out

you might want to try a ground strap much like those used on SSP cars.

also, check to see the way that stereo is wired is not "muffling" through the factory amplifier

Check all of the antenna connection points. Sounds like one of them may of just come loose. There's 3 total if I remember correctly.
