    Ya keep flash off. You'll have better luck. And you'll need a tripod or somthing to rest the camera on. I'm still new at the camera thing too. I have a rebel xsi. I recently got and I'm learning still

    I just got my Rebel XS a lil over a month ago and I love it. I got it to take some decent night shots on manual and messing around with the shutter speed. Definitely want to have the tripod though when it comes to slowing the shutter speed done enough to get decent pics at night. Good Luck
