OK, you're not buying mine then.

The curse of the LS-whatever engine is you have to drive the ugly boat GM decides to put it in or pay 7 figures for a 2-seater extravaganza.

I have the CAI, exhaust, pulleys, coilpacks and plug wires, along with an x2 with a 93 tune, and refer to my signature for what all that does.

If you go on my myspace you can watch how long it takes my car to go from 2.5krpm to 6k on the dyno, and you can probably make your decision based on that.

The motor sounds good, the car looks good, its a fun car, but its a dog. Granted a PI car will do better, but they don't wake up near as much as what an ls1 does.

99+ from what other people have told me an my few buddies with build 99+ mod motors...cams an heads are the best bang for your buck, and gears. of course full bolt ons will add some nice flow an power, for the same amount you could get cams an possible new heads, or just port your pi heads an see way more power an numbers.

pre 99 you gotta do the pi swap hands down from what ive heard. with out it they are just pure slugs, no offense

well ill fix the whole accepting the LS? bashing. i owned a 98 ws6 trans am before my current car 01mustang, and i like the mustang more. there different cars. chevy makes a hell of a motor, but i think they let the kids with downs syndrome build their rear ends.... and if we really wanna talk, at least ford isnt owned by the government.

    anyway....

honestly i vote to keep the 4.6. i say get gears (410), cheap intake and plenum/tb combo. and then go to blower. these cars love boost.

    gears $ 500 installed
    tuner $400
    plenum/tb $400
    intake $200
    MPH mongoose kit $3300

youll have a fun ass 400rwhp car that you wont have to sink the levels of using a chevy. plus fords sound better.
