Well, there's a million things it could be....

The first two that would come to mind for me would be a vacuum leak, or it needs a tune.... Not sure how cams affect the 4v motors, but if they're big enough, i can only imagine that they are going to wreak havoc without a tune... my car wouldn't idle for 2 seconds without a tune after the cam....

edit: larger injectors is also going to require a tuning change

Me personally would never buy a car that stalls or has issues. You never know what your getting yourself into with that and have no idea on the price to fix.

I would look for a stock one and leave the moding to yourself so you know the history of the car etc.

Could be as simple as a vacuum leak or a sticking IAC motor. OR it could be as involved as needing a new tune. OBVIOUSLY you can't look into it until its in your driveway,,,,, when is ETA??

I would say, just have it looked over by a reputable shop, make sure the mechanic goes through all the wiring, vaccum lines, and give the engine bay a top to bottom look to make sure everything is in order, then have it tuned if there are no evident problems.. And be sure the place you take it to knows what to look for on 03-04 cobras, Wolfpack, Streetlethal, or myself know a good bit about those cars and I am sure any of the 3 of us can take care of it for you..

+1 to what tim said. Also, can you verify it has all that work done or is it just used car salesman type jibberish?

Last year before my cobra went away for winter the battery light started comming on. Pretty much knew it was the altenater since its very common. but anyways when comming to a stop or letting it idle the revs would vary from 500 to 1000 and it would die alottttt. Got a new alternater from jamie at start and charge and a sears diehard battery and havent had a issue for about 600 miles.

My 03 started to do that right before the fuel rail pressure sensor went bad.

I am going to say that maybe it was sold for a reason and back away slowly. The reason I say this is because if it was an easy fix then the dealership would have fixed it and sold it for top dollar.

Or they may have taken it to a dealership and had the computer flashed and lost the tune for the cams and all that fun stuff.
