make an ongoing detailing review/help thread. I'm sure a lot of people have used a lot of products on their cars over the year.

with that said, I've got two words for you: Random Orbital.

OK, so I'm using a clay bar for the first time ever. I did the roof and hood so far. Will have to finish tomorrow. Anyway, it seems like the clay wants to stick and smudge some. Seem like I'm putting plenty of lube on. Should it be so wet that the bar is throwing the lube off the paint when I go back and forth?

    Thanks.

that's the way I do it. Its only there to let the clay glide freely over the paint & pick up the contaminants. If it keeps sticking, spray more quick detailer (that's what I use anyway). Hope that helps :)

exactly my point for asking for a detailing forum being added to the site.

And you want the quick detailer to cover small areas and clay bar the car slowly spot by spot but make sure there is enough lubricant that the clay moves freely and easily.

    well, here you go: http://www.superiorcarcare.net/how-t...with-clay.html

This is the first time I've done it. Dude, it's serious business. Plus the juice that came with mine got me high a little bit.

the panels that I've done so far feel like glass on the finger tips. the other panels feel like they're dirty or "bumpy". I can't wait to see it after waxing tomorrow.
