If the compression weren't so high and it was built for boost from the factory I imagine it would do just fine. Today's engines can handle a lot from the factory, just check out what can be accomplished with a 4g63 with only upgraded head studs. I guess I should mention the 2jz, as it is pretty much the benchmark when it comes to boost.

Lmao I love that pic. I'm just saying that there are 4 bangers that are pretty capable. Just cause he didn't buy a 2.3 turbo doesn't mean anything other than he bought a late model car lol
The K20Z3 was never meant to handle boost. SI's have always been, by tradition, a high revving, high compression, N/A car.
There are a ton of people running turbo kits on them though with no issues.
Jper, how's it feel to actually have a good handling car? You should check out 8thcivic.com sometime. There is a lot of good people and information on that site.
