the 99-04 are not the same..

And how you get the blue effect is that in the 94-98 body style the color of the layover is actually blue i have one tore apart if you would like to see. And how they get the green color is stock they put a warm white bulb in there which actually emits yellow color. So to get the blue color in our body style you just switch to a cool white light and boom you get blue. I have some pics i can find.

ok i called them. those bulbs are the 5's and they will fit the socket. There is one half the size as well so i am going to try these and if they are too large then all i have to do is send them back for the smaller ones.

so i tore it apart. sylvania says the wrong type of light for all who care. its not 194/161, but it is 74 i beleive i am ordering them tomorrow. as far as 99 - 04 gauges go the film is actually green. i am going to see if A)it can be removed or B) if a blue led will make a better looking color and be bright enough. updates soon! o and for all who get the chrome rings for the stock guages, they are tight!!!!! you may have to shave down the back of your cluster slightly to get them on. i would recommend glueing them.

if the back of your gauge panel is green, figure out what color you want and what color mixed with green makes the color you want and then order that color. So if you wanted blue like i used to have and wat 97laserred has figure what color with green makes blue and order that color buld

unfortunately since blue is a primary color, no color will mix with green to make blue. I am either going to take off the film (if possible) or i will try to overpower the green and make a blueish green color.
