    4R70W Trans question

    Alright, this weekend I'm gonna pull the pan and change that fluid and filter..not real sure how long it's been since it's been changed, so why not?..How many quarts is that bad boy gonna' hold, and whats the best fluid(brand)to put in there? Any certain additives be a good idea? Thank you!!

    I think it will take 11 to 12 since your not draining the converter. I'm pretty sure it take merc 4? Been a long time since I've done a ford

    i dont think its merc 5 check your dipstick to make sure. i could be wrong. a flush would be your best bet
