Can you convert a 1990 FOX axle to a SN-95?

Can I take a FOX body rear axle housing and fit it in a SN-95 IF I swap the axle shafts and rear brakes (and brake mounts)? The SN-95 does have ABS.

I think the housing is the same. I think the ‘wider axle' is because the axle shafts are 3/4 inch wider (each side) for the ABS stator. I think I can pull the ABS sensors, brake lines and caliper parts from my car and mount them on a FOX 8.8 housing. The final result should be a stock length SN-95 axle.

I am looking to do this because I might be able to grab a 1990 FOX 8.8 with 373 for less then 175.00. That would be a cheaper swap then having my uses 373 installed. I would also think swapping the rear would be easier then setting the backlash on the ring and pinion if I did the gear swap myself.

LMR Housng info. LMR seems to imply that 8.8 housing are the same from 1979 - 1998.

All 8.8 fox housings are the same length. The differences in housing widths are from the axles length only to accomidate ABS, Disk brakes, etc.

Different situation with 7.5 rears (Tbird / cougar used odd housings at times)

86 - 98 8.8 housings are all the same. All 94 - 98 cobra, gt, and V6 brakes and axles are a direct swap into a fox housing.
