nitrous info needed

ok guys i am gonna get a plate kit for my fox. never done nitrous before so here are some questions for ya.

info on car
got a holly blue pump
demon 650
air gap intake
i think i am running around 7 psi fuep pressure at the reg
i planned on 100 shot at first and maybe 150 later.

do i need a seperat fuel system for 100\150 shot?
when do i need to start adjusting my timing?
there are a shit ton of kits out there what is a inexspensive good kit?

that kit will get you going, I always recommend a 2nd pump for carbed cars, i have seen to many cars with spray lean out on the big end on a one pump system, i have a bg400 in my car and thought it was enough for the motor and the spray, well i found out the expensive way it is not enough fuel delivery... I would get a holley blue pump for the spray and start off with the NOS recommended jets in the kit as they are always on the safe side, you will need to dyno tune it to get the most out of the kit, but most guys run the recommended jets and are happy.. NOS recommends to pull 2 degrees of timing for every 50hp you are using of nitrous, so a 100hp shot would need 4 degrees pulled, 6 degrees for a 150hp shot etc..

i was thinking of running fuel cell in the trunk just for the spray. spraying a 150 shot how big cell do i need so as not to run out of gas befor the bottle runs out? or would it be better to tap into the gas tank somehow?

a 1 gallon cell would work for about 5 full bottles or something around that, its nice to have a seperate cell for the spray so you can run better fuel in it to keep thing much safer.. and tapping into the tank can be a treat, its usually better to buy a sumped tank or a purpose built tank..

bottle heater and a bottle blanket are a huge plus.. and if you are gonna mount the bottle in the passenger compartment, you will need a blow down tube.

ok, its going in the trunk. want to keep i like street cars. also you said something about good fuel. ive been a turbo guy untill now so i only ran race gas to up the boost in my other cars. if i run race gas can i up the shot?

YES, but it requires testing (usually on a dyno) to get the best results and most HP.

so just run race gas as insurance against knock then with the shot i was planning on anyway. i got cha. 1 more dumb question bout how many passes can you get out of a 150 shot?

It depends on alot of things, 1st, dont be the mad purger at the track, just purge till you see the white color, 2nd, will you be spraying it in all the gears, or just in like 3rd and 4th?, how often will you be using it on the street?, the only way of knowing how much is left in the bottle is by physically weighing it, 10lb bottles weigh usually 14.5 pounds, and with a full bottle it will weigh 24.5lbs, I like to make a log of how i used it at the track till the bottle is empty, this will help you keep everyting in order, IE: what size hit, what jets, what gears you used it in and what et the car went, this way if it seems like you are using alot, then look for leaks, or if the bottle lasts to long and et goes down, check the bottle pressure.. oh, and it is a very good idea to get a pressure guage, the directions in the kit will tell you what bottle pressure is best for your application.. i like 1000psi, it ensures me good pressure at the end of the track.. the pressure will drop with tempurature, and use, so you have to keep the bottle warm..

to be honest with you it will prolly get used more on the street than at the track. i dont have slicks yet or drag radials so at the track will only get used in 3rd and 4th.
