Track rental day in Ohio

Thought maybe some of you might like to see some pics. A group of guys from over on another forum have been getting together for the last three years. I decided to give it a try, even though I have never had a car on the track before. Let me just say...I am hooked. My best was 14.2 on a pretty stock manual car with street tires. What track is that and how far?

Thompson Raceway park. 2 hours almost exactly. The people at Thompson were great. It spit rain here and there all day and they just kept drying the track. Could not have asked for a better place. Had around 35 mustangs there and a few new mopars. One guy in a Chrysler 300 blew his motor running too much nitrous. Blew the hood half off. A few people from MRT were there and they brought down there SEMA F350. They ran that twice against a pretty stock GMC and didnt do so hot. It wasn't built for speed though with a crapload of stereo equipment inside. All in all it was a great time.

Everyone there was from over on mustangcollective.com. Its pretty much a s197 forum. Hence no Foxes in the bunch. Supposed to possibly be a write up in Mustang Enthusiast magazine since they had someone taking pics for it.

Would love to next time. The whole thing was kind of last minute for me, but I will definitely be going back next year. They are talking about keeping it at the same place. The year before they were somewhere else.
