I have narrowed it down to two cars. One is a mach1 and the other a gt. What is the difference between them. I know the mach1 has more hp but other than that what is different?

the mach one has a cobra motor, and the hood scoops are AWESOME!!!, plus what hidalgo said, they hold much more value.. I think they are a littel more expensive to mod, but they really respond well to mods, i think they still have the powder pressed rods which makes em go boom after you reach the 500hp level, but so does a 2v motor...

I think you'd definitely be happier with the Mach1 as long as the price is relatively similar (proportionate).....

The Mach's also have the larger cobra/mach1 brakes all around. The 5 spd's have the 8 bolt cobra crank too which would be a good start to a forged bottom end.

That mach is bad!! Mach's are def faster too. Billy who is on/used to be on this board had a yellow mach. It went 12.55 with exhaust and et streets, might even have the video layin around somewhere. I'd buy the mach!

The mach also comes with diff springs and tokico shocks/struts so its a little lower and handles better. I would def buy the mach over the gt just because of the power and handling differences.

Mach 1 hands down.
I ran mine to a 12.6 with some weight reduction, gears, et streets, exhaust (no headers) and a less than great 1.7 60'.
