Nice Mark. I spend a good bit of time in that area for work. Was actually there last week and went to Bristol for a TnT to hang out. Nice facility for sure.

Luvin the pics! I'm jealous!! NHRA events are so intense! There ain't nothin in the whole universe like the sound of a Nitro Funny car or rail!!!!

No doubt there is nothing like the sound of a top fuel dragster or funny car roaring past you.
It's a sound you can't describe to someone and expect them to understand.
You just have to experience it!

That is for sure ! For someone who has only watched the top fuel cars on TV, when they see them, or let's say experience them, in person they come away with a whole new respect for what that kind of power does.

Awesome shots!! Nice work!

I missed my nitro fix last year at Norwalk because of the track issues they had. You definitely have to see it, smell it, and FEEL it. Though the nostlgia FED's at PRP's Night of Fire help scratch the itch.

I'll be going to Bristol to race at the World Footbrake Challenge in July. I was watching the race yesterday thinking, man, I'm going to get to go down that track.

Canon Powershot S5 IS, most at full 12x zoom because of where we were seated.

Nice camera, I shoot with it's predessor the Canon S3 IS.

Isn't that the truth. TV doesn't do it justice. The sound pentrates your whole body. I like seeing the test fire the TF cars in the pits. When the blip the throttle 10 feet away it definitely gets your attention...

I've been in the pits at nascar, indcar & F1 races. No other series gives you the access that NHRA provides to the cars & drivers.
