    Just got a 94 Stang

    Hello Gents,

My name is Barry, I know i am at the right place! I just got a Red 94 3.8L Mustang on friday. It has minor problems and a blown head gasket. After tearing into the engine I found that the left side gasket when closeist to the fire wall. I am ording the upper gasket set on monday. I have a few questions. I understand that the 3.8L V6 engines are head gasket eaters. What can I do to help keep that engine nice and cool to prevent this. Possible a differnt Threomstat and Rad.?

My plans for this Stang started simple but as started wrenching on it I find my self getting addicted to it. Its going to be my daily driver. I have a 1992 Jeep Wranger YJ, 4cly, 6" of lift spring under with 31s and 35s. I am a part of Pghoffroad as member 92yjcbg. I have build my self into a corner with the Jeep and became unpractial for a daily driver. For the Stang I want to get it in complete working order before moding it. Im not looking to build a rod, just a all are clean and sharp car. I would like to do a stuttle body kit on the front (not extreme), true daul pipes, black Cobra wheels (replica, cant come any where near the real ones price wize), possibley a cold air kit and stanp it done. If anyone has anything like that for sale let me know!

Some back ground on me, I live in Canonsburg, I am 20 years old. I am tranfering/moving to Cal U. for the fall semester to study secondary education (soical studies) or Enviromental science. Other than that I love wrenching and I have found im addicted to my new found friend.

Thanks for the cool site cant wait to shoot the breeze with ya. Also wouldnt mind sporting a Steel City Stangs sticker on back windshield if you guys offer that.

Well that about sums it up!

    -Barry

    Welcome!

There are a few guys here that are pretty good with the V6 stuff. Hopefully they will see this and offer some input, otherwise search them out for help.

Barry whats up. You mean its not done yet? There should be clips on them atleast thats the way it is on my 01. They pull up and the headlights come out. And why are you taking the headlights out?

welcome, look on the inside of the headlight assembly, you will see a couple of studs sticking out that secures them. Thats the way they work on my 98 anyway, so I figure all sn-95's are the same..

    Brian? lol

Yeah, the headlights seemed really foggy. I wanted to take out the light and clean them. OR replace with a clear lense.

I work slower than PennDot when it comes to wrenchin! lol
